Axios Youth Community operations are primarily run out of Pueblo, Colorado. To be eligible for employment at Axios, you must be able to pass a background check. Past felonies, and specifically any past legal matter involving domestic violence or child abuse is a disqualifier by State Regulation. In addition to passing a background check, you must be able to pass a physical examination and drug screen as well.
The only other major prerequisite for employment is that you can prove one of the following two criteria:
- That you have completed a minimum of 62 credit hours at a nationally accredited college or university. To prove this stipulation, you'll need to submit official college transcripts at the time of your interview. OR,
- That you have worked the equivalent of one year, Full Time, under approved supervision (for a licensed Child Care Company), in our industry. What this stipulation requires is that you have worked with children, ages 8-18 in an official capacity at a school, after-school program, residential facility, etcetera.
Most of the positions at Axios require one of the above two prerequisites, however, we also employ a few positions that are not as readily available which do not require the Education or Experience levels listed — please ask the HR Coordinator should you have questions, of if you would like to inquire about these positions.
